How does your office help a patient understand their costs for Services, payment plan options, or use of their dental insurance? We tell them what their estimated Dental benefits & Out-Of-Pocket will be. We file their Dental Insurance claims for them. We also present any Financial Plans that they can apply for through our Practice. |
|
How do you educate your patients about the treatments they need and how to keep problems from reoccurring? Personal, one-on-one discussion utilizing necessary images, charting, and x-rays and the most current scientific dental and medical research. |
|
What do you do when there are multiple treatment options available for a patient's dental condition? We work with them to determine the best course of treatment. |
|
What labs do you use for your restoration services (e.g. Crowns & Bridges) and do you provide patients with a choice of labs? We use Local & U.S. Based labs that meet our high standards. |
|
What kind of sedation & comfort techniques do you utilize? Patient comfort is one of our top priorities. In most instances, local anesthesia is all that is necessary. Dental fears are best addressed by discussion and incorporating auxiliary anesthesia modalities such as prescription anti-anxiety agents and use of nitrous oxide (laughing gas). Over time as a relationship is established and anxiety diminishes, these auxiliary items are no longer necessary. |
|
Do you treat children and, if so, how do you help them feel comfortable? Absolutely! Children are not little people. They have different levels of comprehension about what dental care is and how to address it. We put it in kids terms so that the parents don't have to, and we strive to give kids a great experience to help make them great dental patients for the rest of their lives. |

Patients have several main reasons for choosing veneers. One of the most common reasons a patient gets veneers is that the front teeth have become worn, chipped, or broken. Veneers hide the imperfections without having to place crowns on otherwise stable teeth. For many adults, misaligned teeth or gaps between teeth make their smile less presentable than they want. For these patients, veneers provide an easier alternative to the lengthy process of correcting the teeth with braces.

Because composite resins are tooth-colored, they look more natural than other filling materials. Your child can smile, talk, and eat with confidence. In addition, tooth-colored fillings are compatible with dental sealants. A tooth can be filled and sealed at the same time to prevent further decay.

A dental bridge is a false tooth or teeth which are fused between two porcelain crowns to fill in the area left by a missing tooth or teeth. The two crowns holding it in place that are attached onto your teeth on each side of the false tooth. This is known as a fixed bridge. This procedure is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Fixed bridges cannot be taken out of your mouth as you might do with removable partial dentures.

Dana, Dental Hygienist As a native Charlottean, I began my career as a dental hygienist after receiving my degree from Central Piedmont Community College in 1999. I joined Dr. Bellamy's dental team in 2001. As a detail-oriented person, my desire for excellent patient care and oral hygiene education are primary goals. My charisma allows children and adults alike to have a friendly and enjoyable dental experience. Outside of my dental career I enjoy traveling, charity involvement with various community groups, spending time with my husband, lifelong friends and family. |
Julie, Dental Hygienist I am a dental hygienist and have been on Dr. Bellamy’s team since 1998. I am a native to the area and my husband and I live in Fort Mill. My spare time, of which there is never enough, I devote to our granddaughter and my gardening. |

Amy I moved to SC as a teenager when the company my father worked for moved their headquarters from Long Island, NY. After graduating from the University of South Carolina in Columbia in 1991, I moved to Charlotte to begin what started as a career in advertising. After transitioning from advertising to life insurance, I have finally found my niche here in dentistry. I have happily been a part of Dr. Bellamy’s team since 2004. I have a wonderful husband, two beautiful children and am very thankful to have a job that I enjoy! |

Yelena I was born in Ukraine and my family moved to the United States when I was three years old. I have lived in Charlotte for thirteen years and I love it here. I have always found dentistry to be fascinating and I learn a lot while assisting Dr. Bellamy, but my favorite part is getting to know each patient on a personal level. |
